How does it work?
The VMI Northstar fully automatic conversion is available for Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
With VMI’s One-Touch Remote, the passenger side sliding door opens, the PowerKneel lowers the van suspension to reduce the slope of the ramp even further, and the in-floor ramp extends to allow easy access to the lowered floor interior.
The VMI Northstar conversion is engineered to create 10” or more of additional headroom in the doorway and van interior, without compromising ground clearance. This provides a comfortable fit for most adults using manual wheelchairs, power chairs, or scooters.
What makes VMI Northstar Chrysler/Dodge conversion different?
VMI conversions (Northstar, Summit, and Northstar E-Series) provide more headroom in the doorway and front seating positions than other Chrysler/Dodge conversions, making this a good fit for taller drivers or passengers.
This conversion also has a longer center floor area than other Chrysler/Dodge conversions, providing more maneuvering space for larger wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters.
VMI’s Northstar conversion includes tumble forward 3rd row seats, which provide more cargo space than any other lowered floor conversion minivan.

Financing Options for Wheelchair Accessible Vans

Extended term financing is one popular option for many accessible vans. For New vans, 10-year financing is available. For newer model Pre-Owned vans, the financing term is usually less than 10 years, but longer than typical banks or credit unions. You may also choose a shorter term loan and/or pay off the loan early with no pre-payment penalty.
Low interest loans are also available if you do not need extended term financing.
If you already have a strong relationship with your bank or credit union and do not need extended term financing, we will provide any information your lender needs to consider financing for your wheelchair accessible van.
