HOW DOES IT WORK?

For years, wheelchair users have not had the option to drive a truck.  Mobility SVM (formerly known as GoShichi) has changed the playing field and it is, happily, not level! Now you can have a rugged vehicle that can take you comfortably down the road or across an open field.

Mobility SVM - GoShichi has engineered a lift system that will put you behind the wheel of one of the most capable, adaptable vehicles on the road today. Whether you need to haul a load of hay, tow a boat, or just want to feel safer driving on rough country roads, this wheelchair accessible truck is for you. And for tougher driving needs, it’s also available in a 4x4!

The Mobility SVM - GoShichi Truck Conversion is engineered to be functional, reliable, adaptable, and long-lasting. The wheelchair accessible truck conversion has been designed to be strong, effective, and simple as possible, with less moving parts, so there is less chance of something breaking. The truck floor is lowered and factory steel is replaced with steel that is twice as thick, along with a “beefed up” frame. The boom carrying the load is a steel box rated to carry more than 750 lbs. The wheelchair lift mechanism is housed inside the truck to protect it from the elements, which also preserves standard ground clearance.

Unlike other accessible vehicles, the Mobility SVM - GoShichi Truck Conversion is virtually undetectable from the outside, giving you strength and wheelchair accessibility in a great looking truck

TRUCK CHASSIS CHOICES?

  • GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado, 1500 or 2500 trucks
  • Driver Side Conversion - Crew Cab or Extended Cab (carries up to 5 passengers)
  • Passenger Side Conversion – Crew Cab only (carries up to 5 passengers)
  • 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive
  • Up to 405 HP or 22 mpg!

WILL YOU FIT?

Generally, if your chair is under 28” wide (Driver Side Conversion) or under 26” wide (Passenger Side Conversion) and you are under 57” tall when seated in your wheelchair, this will likely work well for you.

If your measurements are “borderline,” we’ll test fit you and see if adjustments can be made to your chair.

Mobility SVM - GoShichi Truck Conversions can also accommodate slightly taller clients and slightly wider chairs, but the vehicle must be special-ordered.

CAN TRUCK BE RAISED HIGHER AND BIGGER TIRES ADDED?

Yes, Mobility SVM - GoShichi says they “have room to go up.” The conversion is raised 3” above standard, but they can customize a truck for you to go higher.

FINANCING OPTIONS FOR WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE TRUCKS?

We work with lenders who understand our industry and accessible vehicle conversions.

Extended Term Financing is one popular option for many accessible vehicles. For New vehicles, 10-year financing is available. For newer model Pre-Owned vehicles, the financing term is usually less than 10 years, but longer than typical banks or credit unions. You may also choose a shorter term loan and/or pay off the loan early with no pre-payment penalty.

Low Interest Loans are also available if you do not need extended term financing.

If you already have a strong relationship with your bank or credit union and do not need extended term financing, we will provide any information your lender needs to consider financing for your wheelchair accessible vehicle.
